My new vinyl arrivals acclimated very well, they’re in good condition and liked spinning around on the turntables: WeWantSounds from Paris come correct with two amazing new releases! The first one is a sought-after cult classic by Omar El Shariyi (Ammar El Sherei) and his superb (newly remastered) instrumental album »Oriental Music« from 1976. The next test-press is the brilliant 2LP-compilation which is called »Tokyo Dreaming« and it explores the vaults of Nippon Columbia’s ’80s archive including artists like Ryuichi Sakamoto, Hitomi Penny Tohyama, Yumi Murata, Shigeo Sekito and Juicy Fruits.

London rapper & producer duo Phoenix da Icefire and Husky Brown release their brand new heat which is called »Panacea« (Receptor Records) and its an extraordinary and multidimensional event, with rhymes, beats and life woven throughout.

Ending with some must-have 45s: Flip from Austria sent me his latest double-sided heat »Bad Breaks Vol.5« including a dope remix of Erykah Badu with some jazzy piano samples, a drumbreak and guitars made famous in 1988 by the Long Island Rap trio JVC Force. On the flip you’ll get another hot remake of Mobb Deep with vocals of Monica.
And I treated myself with two essential 45s by Dynamite Cuts who are back again with another no brainer – James Brown’s »Black Caesar 45s Collection« and doubles of Sure Fire Soul Ensemble’s modern take on the classic »Impeach The President« by The Honey Drippers via Colemine Records!

Thanks to y’all for sending me these gems and tune in tomorrow into my brand new episode of »Oonops Drops« on Brooklyn Radio including three fantastic exclusive guest mixes, peace!
