A new member in the studio attic has arrived: a Philips Philicorda GM752.
Furthermore lots of new dopeness on wax for my next shows on Brooklyn Radio such as the nouveau 45 by my homies Nautilus from Japan with a spacey jazz-funk interpretation of Liston Smith’s classic »Expansions« including a tight edit from Ryuhei The Man on the flip. Another brillant tasty 45 donut by Matasuna Records and their 25th release, congrats! This time they deliver two hard-to-find and classy rarities by 1970s Belgian jazz-funk combo Placebo which are called »Polk« and »Balek«.
The next arrival is by Durch Drauf Records from my hometown with a proper debut album which was finished in a period of five years. Paspatu from Göttingen is on the mic and Oskar Hahn is responsible for the smooth jazzy beats production including scratches by DJs Dj Polar (Sam und Max) and Jiyan (Black Bear Basement). More German highlevel output comes from the good people of Daily Concept who released their new album »26 Chambers« with raps by beppo&pete from Leipzig over splendid beats from dude26 (R.I.P.!) and guest appearances by eloquent and Maulheld. Check these two jazzy records!
Last but not last I highly recommend this fantastic Remix EP by Coladera from Brazil on my beloved Agogo Records which appears like a warm summer breeze: four tracks reimagined by Jazzanova, Melodiesinfonie, Mo‘ Horizons and Dubben for you to enjoy these last days of summertime.
Thanks to y’all for sending me these top-notch slices and be sure to hear them soon!Sunny regards, my friends!
