Hood morning everyone, pure freshness arrived!
Starting with a bunch of fiery 45s such as HHV Records’s 25th HHVBoombap45s release with unreleased remixes of two very dope Adagio! cuts, „Ass & Benefits“ plus „Boy & Girl Tale“, from the golden era. Dj Suspect from France sent me his new 7″ project with Son Of A Pitch aka SOAP and their double-sided dancefloor heat including two top 70s french breaks on Off Records. If you’re into hot (boom bap) beats you definitely should check out Justgoodbeats from London with their latest release by Looms with finest (jazzy) instrumentals. As usual these clear lathe cut records come in a limited edition of 30. Tip!
Last but not least saxophonist Etienne De la Sayette from France comes correct with his brand new record »Kobugi« (Muju Records) which focuses on African music and it’s rounded off with spoken words, reggae styles, spiritual jazz and groove.
Be sure to hear these lovely pieces on wax in my next show on the 6th July via Brooklyn Radio! Stay safe and enjoy your weekend! ☀️
