On the attic with my new vinyl friends from around the globe!

All the way from Nashville, Tennessee Third Man Records (founded by Jack White) sent me their two latest 45s by the long-awaited, heavily-hinted project between Jack White and Jack Black (!) featuring the incomparable Tenacious D. Kage plus The Raconteurs with an acoustic rock song with lots of guitar licks and which is really rootsy. On the other side you get an alternate take on their song »Somedays«.

Keep an eye on Chicago-born recording company International Anthem with two amazing records: The first one is the debut from Chicago-based composer and clarinetist Angel Bat Dawid which serves as a vibrant, spiritual, free-jazz document of black life as it stands today. It’s a deeply spiritual album and absolutely intriguing, for example her track »On We Are Starzz« on which she duets with herself. Their second and upcoming album »Who Sent You?« by free jazz collective Irreversible Entanglements is a fiery work of pure power and dynamic. I can’t wait to play their track »Bread Out of Stone« in my next show. The last of these three records is also transmitted by der Promotor and it’s called »Buck« by Brainstory on the ever-reliable Big Crown Records. Don’t try to put it into a box – it’s a stunning fusion of Funk, Rock and Soul produced by Leon Michels of El Michels Affair!

Straight from Japan I’ve received Noujazz / DJ Yama’s cover version of Robert Johnson’s »Lovely Lady« featuring Nick Kurosawa (Aloha Got Soul) which is a sweet, mellow and jazzy piece of music with urban atmosphere. Thx KAZAHAYA!

Another brand new and limited to 30 x 7″ clear lathe cut record from Justgoodbeats (London) arrived. This time Canada based producer Vienna drops four dope tracks on a crystal clear 45 while mixing real instruments with classic sampling technique, tipp!

Last but not least Soul Tune from Stockholm, Sweden delivers their latest 45 by Soul Tune Allstars who take on the mighty »Desire« originally recorded by Francisco Aguabella and which is latin soul heaven in 2020! More heat on the flip with a mix of Jazz, Soul and Funk!

Thanks to y’all for sending me this high quality music and be sure to hear it in my next show(s) on Brooklyn Radio!

Meanwhile I’m superstoked about the response on my latest Hip Hop-Special which has reached nearly 5.000 plays in just four days and it’s already four times #1 in the Mixcloud-genre charts! Have a listen to 3,5 hours of Hip Hop (related) music with exclusive guest mixes by Falk-Schacht, STINOE and Paul De Loecker .
