Holy moly – the good people from Magma DJ-Bags sent me some early Easter-treasures, big thx! Now my 45-bag family is completed and I’ve enough space to house my little gems. Their brand new, fully padded little bag is really dope and fits up to 50 7″s for a nice little set!

And new promos arrived this week: thanks to Jack White’s Third Man Records from Nashville for sending me Mdou Moctar’s new album with polyrhythmic, deeply psychedelic sounds and with lyrics sung in the style of Tuareg nomadic poets. Furthermore big up to Tru Thoughts and their really dope new album by The Hot 8 Brass Band who take cover of Joy Division, George Benson and MJ. We Want Sounds deliver two reissue masterpieces for Records Store Day 2019 by Alice Clark (produced by Bob Shad in 1972) and Abu Ali (Lebanese Disco 12″ from 1978), thanks for the TPs!

Last but not least, some really cool 45s arrived by Red Astaire with his classic „Follow Me“, Superjock Records new banger, Mukatsuku Records current afro funk-fuelled floor-fillers and a lovely cover version of The Beatles „All My Loving“ by Prince Buster!

Hear them all in my upcoming show(s!) in April on Brooklyn Radio plus lots of fresh tunes, exclusive guest mixes from many countries and a thematic special !
