Back from Denmark and awaited with special anticipation by lots of new vinyl arrivals!
HHV Records sent me their brand new own label output by @Carta‘ P. & Parental (de Kalhex) (Akromégalie Records) with infectious drums and 90s golden era sounds, Wuf from Italy with mellow lo-fi jams and cosmic waves for the perfect chill and the brand new issue of the HHV Boombap 45 series with sought-after underground classics „Keep Ya Head“ / „What I Feel“ by The B.L.U.N.T.E.D. Crew, be quick on this!
Next up is LeoLex, head honcho of hip hop underground label Bumm Clack from Munich with his upcoming album „Kompass“ which will hit the streets in mid November including dope beats and precise rhymes. Thanks for connecting me with Portland, Oregan’s Liquid Beat Records which wasn’t on my radar until now with superb releases by Hot16 featuring Ohmega Watts and a K-Def Remix on a 45, (soulful) beats by Dain, Reva & Roane, top notch hip hop by Res One & Illinformed, Libretto & Buscrates and a stunning version of „Streetplayer“ by various artists inter alia by Matt Nelkin plus vocals by Colonel Red. Big up!
Portland’s Thirsty City Records with their fiery 10″ by NorthernDraw and last but not least Australia based funksters The Traffic with their current Daft Punk-cover smasher „Harder Better Faster Stronger“. You can’t go wrong with their 45s if you’d like to get heat on the dancefloor!
