Agogo Records was founded in late 2006 by Ralf Zitzmann and the two Mo‘ Horizons guys Ralf Droesemeyer and Mark Wetzler. Their taste is based in Soul, Jazz, Latin & World Music with a touch of electronic sounds. Furthermore Agogo Records holds a regular label night in Hanover’s oldest stairways – the Cumberlandsche Galerie. At their Calamari Moon Suite they had visits from musicians like Alice Russell, DJ Format, Robert Luis, Smoove & Turrell and a lot of other international guests.

While digging through Agogo’s archive I tried to illustrate their musical variety without losing the focus on the whole: it’s a mixtape with a dramaturgic structure for listening pleasure. The first and the last track are exclusives from Hidden Jazz Quartett’s and Gabriele Poso’s forthcoming albums. For the rest, it’s an all vinyl mix.
