My new „Oonops Drops – Vol.2“-compilation is on pre-order now via Agogo Records just like my new initiated De La Soul-cover version by japanese jazz trio Nautilus!

But let me start from the beginning:
Over one year I’ve worked on this new compilation which covers musical genres from dub, jazz, funk, soul to beats and hip hop including artists like Ninja Tune’s Coldcut (remixed by Manasseh), Twit One, Sly5thAve, Amy True featuring Nubya Garcia, Magic In Threes, John Turell from Smoove and Turrell (remixed by Soopasoul), The Soul Surfers‚ Igor Zhukovsky & MRR Drumetrics, 45 a.k.a. SWING-O, Schemes, RF, Kinny, Bird Moves, T Bird & the Breaks and KAZUMI KANEDA.

Most of the tracks will be the first time available on vinyl or are exclusive to this compilation. Once again I’ve collaborated with San Francisco based oil painter Lindsey Kustusch Art with her gorgeous piece of art for the cover which represents my roots to Brooklyn Radio pinpoint.

My next project is the follow-up of my cooperation with Nautilus. I initiated another multifaceted cover version like its predecessor „Root Down“ featuring Fleur Earth. This time I had the idea to combine De La Soul’s classic ‚A Roller Skating Jam Named „Saturdays“‚ with The UMC’s breakpart in „One To Grow On“ and giving it a new twist with Canadian rapper Abdominal and japanese singer and songwriter 大和田慧(Kei Owada) in her national language. German producer Glueset beefed it up with some heavy breaks to send this little gem straight to the dancefloor. On the other side you get the raw instrumental jazz version by Nautilus. Credits for the artwork are going to my homie Sven a.k.a. Meat Milk who works for the incredible dope coarse and big ups to Glueset for the cover design.

Strictly limited on white vinyl and in the pre-order here:

I really hope you love them both as much as I do!
