Starting off the week with a new episode of my »Oonops Drops« show on Brooklyn Radio: www.mixcloud.com/brooklynr…/oonops-drops-the-art-of-chilling
It’s a ride with laid back sounds to relax or nod your head to. Its called »The Art Of Chilling« and helps you to get through the week easily.
I’ve invited KAZAHAYA straight from Tokyo for the third time and he’s back again with another dope and special guest mix. This time he did a slow down r&b and soulful mixdown out of his crates. My next guest is biodub, an old friend of mine with whom I dropped vinyl at The Beatification party series from time to time back in the days. Biodub is an expert in combining dubby sounds with electronical goodness.
Before I open up the show with cold crushed coolness by The BREED and the track »Skate Session« from their new album on multicolor splattered vinyl (Vinyl Digital), a beautiful cover version of Freddie Hubbard’s »Little Sunflower« which is available on my »Oonops Drops – Vol.2« compilation (Agogo Records), Jazzy Sport’s GAGLE with a spheric instrumental track on a tiny 45 via Mukatsuku Records, Wun Two featuring FloFilz and their snow-covered, jazz-flavoured »Same Old« (VinDig), Soulmade / DAM featuring WARPATH on Daily Concept with a dope english/german rap track, a fiery sequence of five tracks in a row by Berlin’s HHV Records including hip hop (underground) classics, boom bap and freshness by Mysterys Extinction, Truffel the Phunky Phaqir featuring Malev Da Shinobi, PENPALS & Lars Viola, Endangered Species and the new HHV Boombap 45 with Masta Ace. Ending my mixpart with a reissued, ace Music De Wolfe track by Rubba on Farfalla Records.
