It’s time for more colourful sounds in my new episode on Brooklyn Radio including three guests (all of them are djing label heads)! Listen here: www.mixcloud.com/brooklyn…/oonops-drops-multicolored-sound-4
In the fourth part of my »Multicolored Sound«-series I’ve invited Dusty from Munich who is the head honcho of Jazz & Milk with a selection of global and soulful rhythms. The labels credo is to offer an experimental playground for international artists that share one passion: a natural balance between accoustic and electronic sounds, traditional music and a modern club-music oriented approach. Next up producer Figub Brazlevič – the founder of Krekpek Records and East-West Sessions from Berlin steps in the arena and spins a selection of tight (Boom Bap) Beats and Raps for this episode.
And last but not least Shepdog, label chief of UK’s NICE UP! records – a forward thinking record label with reggae at its heart, but encapsulating hip hop, dub, dancehall, drum & bass, dubstep and beyond – joins me and drops a hardcore set of pure roughness – so better fasten your seatbelts.
But before I’m opening the show with 45 minutes of fresh vinyl arrivals by The Mystery Kindaichi Band who get reissued on the great WEWANTSOUNDS label from Paris, spanish label Cuero Records with some fiery latin popcorn, Daytoner with pure dancefloor heat and his track »Ooh Lalo« (Dinked Records), The Outta Space Crew from Germany in a boogietastic DJ Friction Remix, my homies Kasimir Effekt with their brand new track »Move Me« which gets released soon via quadratisch rekords, DJ DSK & The Lost Soul Collective with heavy funk vibes followed by more heavy funky raps by Andy Cooper featuring The Allergies (BombStrikes) with their tribute to the legendary Run DMC. One more time Andy Cooper and again on a 45 but this time with producer Baronski (We Keep Shit Dope Records), also on this label come People In The Audience with a smooth Instrumental, Packed Rich (Block Opera) with lush future beats on his track »Dragon Fly«, Atwashere aka DJ At featuring Morina Miconnet with fresh D’n’B-sounds (Trust in Wax), Batunga & The Subprimes (Matasuna Records) from France with driving contemporary Afrobeat and ending my set with Nobodys Face featuring Suff Daddy and some cosmic laid-back beats (Block Opera).
